The End Of The Road For The Wagon (Friday 21 February 2003)
Contrary to the previous news article, it seems someone has messed with Justice. When the Wagon of Justice was involved in an accident in a carpark in Whistler it was assumed that the damage to the windscreen pillar and roof could be repaired. Today the car was officially written off and the Riders are now without a car.
On February 5th Bob, Jon and Mike were driving through the Market Place carpark when a cute blonde girl reversed a massive pick-up truck out of it's parking place. The truck had a skidoo ramp on the back, which hit the pillar of the windscreen just infront of Jon's face, then rode up onto the roof. The Wagon of Justice was brought to a halt as the ramp went through the roof.
Insurance details were swapped and it was assumed that the damage could be fixed by the girl's father, who owns a bodyshop. When Andy took the Wagon down to Vancouver to get it checked out he was told that it would be difficult to repair, so the insurance company were contacted. Today they announced that the car was a write-off and offered the Riders $2600.
The Riders have yet to decided whether to buy another vehicle for the remaining two months, so are relying on buses and friends for transport at the moment.
