Nobody messes with Justice (Thursday 06 February 2003)
Finally it seems that the trauma over the Palace of Righteous Justice is over, and the Riders will be allowed to stay until the end of April.
Until this morning the Riders had not paid any rent for February - the landlady was refusing further rent as she believed she had officially evicted the Riders.
Out of the blue, Dawn called at 08:45 this morning, and spoke to Bob. Aware that the arbitration process would take longer than the Riders' remaining time in Whistler, it seems she has given up on eviction and now wants the Riders' cash.
Relations are still a little frosty to say the least, but hopefully the Riders can now get on with the delivery of Justice without worrying about their house.
In other news, the Wagon has suffered a series of setbacks this week. Recent trips to Vancouver took their toll, causing the car to kangaroo-hop wildly, then yesterday afternoon a massive truck with a skidoo ramp reversed into the Wagon as it drove through a carpark in Whistler. The Wagon's roof has been caved in above the passenger seat, and is in need of serious repair. Luckily the windscreen wasn't damaged, although it may yet need to be replaced as the pillar has been bent.
