While The Cat's Away (Thursday 30 January 2003) - 00:01:05

Bob, usually the Riders' trick-meister, foolishly went to Vancouver leaving Andy and Jon alone for four days. In his absence they started learning. This was the result.

Come home soon, Bob.

HelmetCam - Take One (Sunday 08 December 2002) - 00:00:30

HelmetCam's first outing - a little movie of Andy and Bob riding down Whistler's Ego Bowl run, just to prove that the Riders still exist...

The small file has a reduced resolution to save space - it's designed for modems only.

Video Formats

There are three versions of most videos, with different size files. The smaller two are in MPEG-1 format, and the larger one is MPEG-2. The basic rule is that the larger the file, the larger and clearer the picture. The big MPEG-1 movies are clearer than the small MPEG-1 versions, and the MPEG-2 movies are clearest. If you're using a modem then you're probably better off with one of the MPEG-1 versions.

The small MPEG-1 videos have an image size of 176x144 pixels, the big MPEG-1 videos 352x288 pixels and the MPEG-2 videos 720x576 pixels.

File Sizes

The file sizes are given in kilobytes (kb). As a guide to download speed, a 56K modem can download about 350 kb per minute, so a 1 megabyte (1,024 kb) file shouldn't take longer than 3 minutes.
