Riders Re-united (Monday 20 January 2003)

Today, for the first time since 28th December 2002, the Riders were together again on the mountain. Along with Matt, Mike, Stan and a group of Stan's friends, the Riders enjoyed a clear sunny day on Blackcomb Mountain, concentrating on the Glacier and Crystal Chairs.

It was Jon's first day back on the snow since breaking his ribs, and Andy's second day back after tearing a ligament in his knee.

The day began on Wishbone for Bob and Jon, where they met up with Matt, Stan and some of his mates. The group spent the morning on Seventh Heaven and the Glacier, before heading over to the Crystal Hut and on down to Glacier Creek for lunch. The snow was in reasonable condition, with the groomed runs providing some very smooth, fast corners.

Andy and Jules came up for the afternoon and met up with Mike. Re-united, the Riders spent the afternoon on Glacier and Crystal chair, before heading down to the Longhorn, Blacks and the Amsterdam for some well deserved beers.

The Riders celebrated their day with a fantastic meal back at the Palace: a 3-cheese fondue, using the fondue kit presented by Jules.
