Jon has been riding for over 10 years. He spends as much time as possible off the piste, in a never-ending search for better back-country powder fields.
He began riding in Europe, in Les Trois Vallees. Most of his European riding has been in and around Tignes, although he also visited Les Arcs and Isola during the 2001/02 season.
Jon first experienced Whistler during the 2000/01 season, which was described by the locals as the worst since 1930. Although the conditions weren't great by Whistler's standards, the snow was pretty good compared to Europe, and the experience of riding with some of the local experts was enough to bring Jon back during the 2001/02 season.
During March 2002 the Whistler snow was at its best. Lead by some of the Whistler lifties, Jon rode some incredible back-country, including the Christmas Trees, Piccolo and Windlip. The snow on Whistler Bowl and the West Bowl was amazing, with the highlight of the trip being the run down Peak to Creek on the Day of Justice.
Jon rides a 2001 Option Supercharger 168, with Burton Driver SI boots and Mission GT bindings. He is currently looking for a slightly shorter board to use in the pipe and the terrain park.
Jon's roles within the organisation of Justice include cameraman and webmaster. On the slopes he uses a Sony PC-100 and a helmet-mounted "bullet-camera" to capture the videos of Justice, which are then edited back at the Palace.
