Andy rides a Burton Canyon 162 for the deep powder and a Lib Tech Jamie Lynn 157 for park, pipe or just general freeriding. His bindings are Burton Missions, which get moved from board to board depending on the conditions. He wears the 2002/2003 Burton Drivers.
A new jacket and pants were necessary this year as the old Dope pull-over jacket used to get wet through. Whistler is renowned for being quite wet, which is due to the weather patterns it receives coming up off the pacific coast. Keeping dry is far harder on the mountain than keeping warm, even though the temperature can drop as low as minus 20C. As a result a Burton ak Gore-Tex jacket and Burton Tactic pants were this season's major investment.
Goggles are Iridium Oakley A-Frames, mits are from Dakine and the helmet is a Pro-Tech. (Although many of you would rather be dragged naked through a rose bush than wear a helmet - it is a legal requirement in Whistler for riding in the park).
